What is a QCO?
A Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO) is an Arizona-approved nonprofit that allows you to redirect part of your Arizona state taxes to support a cause you care about — at no additional cost to you.
Instead of sending those dollars to the state, you can choose to send them to a local organization making a real impact in our community.
This is a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit — not a deduction.
How the Arizona QCO Tax Credit Works
Step 1 — Donate
If you owe AZ Taxes, make a donation to The Hope Foundation or any other QCO organization before Arizona Tax Day.
Step 2 — Get Your Tax Credit
When you file your Arizona state taxes, you’ll claim the donation using a QCO Code. (Ours is 22651)
Step 3 — Reduce Your Taxes
Your donation reduces what you owe to Arizona — or increases your refund — dollar for dollar.

2025 Donation Limits
Arizona sets annual limits on how much you can claim for the QCO tax credit:
$470 — Single Filers
$938 — Married Filing Jointly
You can donate any amount up to the limit to receive the full credit.
Important Note:
You may still donate more, but amounts above the limit will not qualify for the Arizona tax credit.
